Mennonite in a Little Black Dress: A Memoir of Going Home
I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard reading a book! This is the true story of Rhoda Jansen, whose husband has left her for a guy named Bob. To recover from both her broken marriage (and some broken bones she got in a car accident), Rhoda returns home to her parents’ home and the Mennonite fold. Hillarity ensues as Rhoda reconnects with her family and her roots. Who knew Mennonites were so funny? Rhoda’s description of funny Mennonite foods had me laughing so hard, I cried! I adored this book and am looking forward to a follow-up!
