Food Rules: An Eater’s Manual
His book is a standout among many of the current books that tell you what and how to eat. In just 112 pages he covers what you should eat, what kind of food you should eat and how you should eat. Some of the rules are short and simple, with just enough humor to make them memorable. Some examples are: No.1-Eat Food, No.2-Don’t eat anything your great-grandmother wouldn’t recognize as food and No.19-If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don’t. Before I reach for something that I know I shouldn’t eat, because of boredom or stress, I’m going to grab this book and read a few rules. Maybe the humor will help to relieve my stress or at least to change my focus. Most of the time that’s all I need to stop my food cravings.
