These heartwarming tales from the widely-beloved author of the All Creatures Great and Small series would be perfect for reading in a comfy armchair by a roaring fire with a cup of tea in hand and a blanket on your lap.  If getting lost for a time in the seemingly-innocent world of decades-ago Yorkshire, learning a little about animal science, and being introduced to some very unique creatures appeals to you, I’d definitely recommend Cat Stories.  The audio version read by Christopher Timothy is fantastic, and his accent called to mind the CDs of The Secret Garden I listened to and loved earlier this year.
