Quick, Cheap Comfort FoodNow that I am juggling a career and motherhood I find myself dreading the question - what’s for dinner?  I have no time and no energy to cook elaborate meals and found a cookbook that has helped me immensely in the kitchen. It contains over a hundred recipes, including slow cooker meals which i love since you throw everything together in the morning and come home to a cooked meal at night. One of the best inventions ever! Besides great recipes like Spinach and Tortellini soup, chicken pot pies, and cheddar bay biscuits,  this book gives you a list on what to stock your pantry and refrigerator with. This way I only buy what I need and stop spending money on ingredients I never use.  The tips section in the back was also useful. To get tomato paste easily out of the can, open both ends, remove one lid, and push on other lid with a wooden spoon to get the paste out. I would never have thought to do that. To get more life out of an onion store it in a cook dark place, not in the refrigerator. The recipes were all 30 minutes and under, were easy to follow, and were mostly under $3.00 per serving.
