Have A Nice Day: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks

Have a Nice Day: A Tale of Blood and SweatsocksProfessional wrestling is a sport that is usually laughed at and considered fake and stupid by most people. The wrestlers, seen as steroid driven idiots, without a thought in their heads,  I used to think that way until I read this book.  A friend of mine, recommended this book and I was skeptical about reading it, but don’t be fooled by the cover, an ordinary man overcoming adversity to achieve his dream, creating friendships, falling in love, and becoming a legend. The way this book is written, makes it very easy for anyone to relate to what Mick is going through; filled with humor and at times can be heartwarming, but certainly will cause you to look at wrestlers in a different light.

Nice review Mark! For anyone interested in a serious look at the real pain behind the fake wrestling I recommend a documentary movie from 1999 called “Beyond the Mat”. Mick Foley is a prominent participant who comes across as sensitive and intelligent in commenting on the impact of his “sport”.
