The Alchemist
This is the story of a boy named Santiago from Spain. He is looking for a treasure that is hidden in Egypt. He is also looking for his personal legend, the work he was born to do in this life. As he travels, he meets various people. Each one has some lesson they have learned that they pass on to him. With their help he gains a better understanding of the experiences and the people he has encountered.
There were several ideas among many in the book that I thought worth remembering. We each have a personal legend, a destiny. Pay attention to the signs or omens you encounter to help you follow your path. The people we meet and the things that happen to us all happen for a reason. And last, trust yourself.
This book was a nice escape. I enjoyed his journey and the people he met along the way.
Wow! This is a very powerful lesson/notion that we each have a personal legend. I like that idea and I believe that it is true.
