The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian I had hesitated to read this National Book Award winner since I don’t usually seek out fiction that is either extremely popular or classed as young adult, but The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian did not disappoint in the least.  Once again, I wholeheartedly recommend the audio over the print version, as the author’s delivery is exceptionally unique and powerful.  I think everyone would benefit from listening to this riveting, raw novel about an extremely likable (but frequently persecuted) Spokane Indian teen who decides to attend high school off his reservation.  This is one I definitely won’t forget.
