A Room With a View
This book is a classic written by E. M. Forster. What makes me read this book over and over is the description of the scenery in Italy. I also enjoy revisiting the characters. Forester has written such a detailed and crisp narrative that it makes me feel like I know the people and I have been to those sites in Italy.
This is a very romantic tale about relationships and family. It’s about chosing the right person to share your life with regardless of the expectations others may have for your future. Today we can choose who we want to marry, but that was not always the case. Here we meet Lucy Honeychurch who is torn by what her family expects her to do, and by the young man she has just met while on vacation in Florence. The story shows us how life send us opportunities every day, what we do with them—if we are open to them—can change the course of our lives forever.
